Don't bad on me for posting a review before the product is released. Amazon is so bad at informing of bonus features I thought some might want to know what this Blu-Ray (or DVD) set will include.

This is from the press release (which also notes the release date as 3 Nov.):

5 stars for series, -2 stars for a higher priced downgrade in packaging
So, the original releases of Clone Wars Seasons 1 & 2 came in nice DigiBook packaging which included concept art in a book inside the hard cover book that held the 3 discs. Something that made these releases unique. So now, Season 3 comes out in a standard 3-disc Blu-ray case, so in order to prepare for this change in packaging, WB re-releases the first two seasons in standard cases as well apparently back in September about a month before Season 3 comes out. But here's the kicker. The digibooks ran around $40 new on or around release day, and now the prices on these re-releases are over $50. What's up with that? Downgrade in packaging and you jack up the price? These should be discount releases. $20-25 max. The only justification for the increase in price would be if these include DTS-MA HD sound over the original 640 Kbps DD tracks. But that's stretching it. Anybody got any actual specs for these?

The Star Wars saga continues, in an unexpected way
When I heard that they were releasing a Star Wars "cartoon" in the Movie theaters, I scoffed. I have seen the movies dozens of times and still remember seeing the original at the drive in (!) in 1977 all summer long. I've read all the best Star Wars books (*cough*TimothyZahn*cough*), played most of the games, have all the music on my ipod and saw Episode III at midnight. Yea, I'm a fan. Episode 1 and 2 didn't do it for me, but EP3 brought Lucas back into my good graces.

Despite being a hard core fan, I refused to see a Star Wars cartoon in a movie theater. Rubbish! I declared. How can Star Wars be a blocky cartoon?

That was a mistake. When I finally got the movie on DVD, it was fantastic. When this show came out on Cartoon Network, finally, for the first time in YEARS I had a Sci Fi show that I actually looked forward to watching each week. Yes, its a cartoon. Yes, I would prefer a live action show or another movie, but I know that is later and never...

Good production and presentation of six disc set of Christian topics, ranging from the Holy Land, to as diverse as St. Paul and Helena's first pilgrimage. Strongly recommended for all Christians and non Christians, who want an insight into Christianity. Video scenes were well documented and commentaries easy to follow. The only criticism I have, is that there were many short clippings where they should be elaborated. For instance, the disc on the Holy Land, was too short and many more sacred sites were not included. Overall, this set is well worth buying and very educational.

The best videos ever put out. Just can't stop watching them & others that have borrowed them feel the same way & say they're great. Really lets one feel like you know more about the areas.

not exactly what I needed
Bought this DVD set before a trip to Israel and found only a couple of the DVDs truly relevant. Quality is also spotty; some material/graphics quite dated.

NCIS: Seasons 1-8

Beware Some Discs Don't Load or Skip
I bought NCIS Season 1-8 during one of those "sales" they have during the day several months ago, knowing it would make a excellent Christmas gift for my wife who loves the show. As she made her way through the seasons, she really had a great time seeing the episodes in order. Unfortunately, in Season 7 and Season 8 several of the discs have difficulty loading. I've cleaned the discs, cleaned the disc player with one of those DVD discs with the small microscopic brushes, but they still have problems. Of the five players we have in the house, those discs do not play on a Samsung Blu-Ray player (with updated firmware) and a Sony Blu-Ray player. Since I ordered the series early for Christmas, I missed the "window" for returning them, so, buyer beware of this issue.

NOTE: I noticed that Amazon had this same special a few days ago (May 2012). I would suggest that anyone buying the set play all of the discs ASAP, and return the set if any do not load correctly. If enough...

NCIS Nirvana
I enjoy NCIS, but my wife and daughter are addicted! I purchased the complete series as a birthday gift, and I have made them very happy. They have been able to find episodes that they haven't seen before, even on "marathon weekends". By watching some of the earlier episodes, things that happen later in the series make more sense. In addition, purchasing the DVD set has freed up a lot of space on our DVR, which was previously programmed to record every episode that aired on cable! If you are a dedicated NCIS fan, this set is definitely for you.

A must for ncis lovers!!!
I missed some of the seasons due to not being able to get the channel that it came on, so there was alot that I missed, so when I saw that all 8 seasons were available, I knew that I just had to get it. Am so glad that I did, this has been one of my all time favorite shows since it came on the air. I just really hope that they don't ever cancel it---that would be a big mistake for cbs. It seems like they like to take their good shows & just ruin them.
I hope that this shows keeps going on for a long time. I love Gibbs, Abby, Ziva, Tony, Tim & the rest of the gang. The characters all give their best each & every episode. I think that the producers have picked the right people to play the right parts. Its a fantastic cast.
I will be able to enjoy all seasons for a very long time. They will get watched & watched often. If you havent gotten this collection of series then you really should get it. :-)

Criminal Minds: Seasons 1-6

No scratched discs here.
It goes without saying that this show is excellent. If you're viewing this product I will assume that you already know this. There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this television show. However, this review is for the physical boxed set, not the show itself. Be sure to checkout Wikipedia for a brief synopsis of the show if you were sent here by a friend or relative to buy a gift ([...]).

One member reported not receiving this product. I received mine the very next day; thank you Prime. Another member commented that his/her discs arrived in a condition which rendered them useless. This is certainly not the case for me. Nevertheless, the boxed set arrived well packaged and in excellent condition (no bent corners, etc.). I purchased this as a gift for the girlfriend and she could not be happier! We're both enjoying an episode...or four, every night.

Great Show!
Regarding first review...Understandably, I would be extrememly unhappy if I received that type of service as well.
However, I did want to write a review for the show, so as not to give anyone the impression that the show deserves 1 star.
Criminal Minds is a great crime/procedural show. Most episodes are very intriguing and as the show has developed so have the charcters. You learn a little more about them each season, which I think has helped make the show even more interesting. If you enjoy a good crime/procedural show with great characters or if you are already a Criminal Minds fan, this is a great buy! And considering the how many seasons are included, the price is very reasonable.

Series great but....
The series it self is great, and very entertaining. Although I wish that the first season DVD's as well as the second season DVD's had worked well. I'm not sure if it was a malfunction in the dvd's or if they were damaged in some way, but there were certain areas that could not be watched, even after cleaning my dvd player. Again the series itself is great with a well liked cast, and very entertaining.
