Korean War: Part 1 June-November 1950

Good effort.
This is a factual and informative documentary on the events leading up to, and the initial phases of, the Korean War. The use of lots of archival footage and photos is a real plus in the presentation, which is otherwise a little dry.

Anyone with an extensive historical knoledge of the Korean Confilct will find it interesting, but won't get anything new - anyone just learning about the conflict will come away with a good overall understanding.

If you're studying about this in history class it is WELL worth watching.

Politics and Generals
Essential information for the beginning of the Korean War (originally referred to as a 'Police Action'). Addresses both political and military information without an in depth discussion or details. The original footage gives a glimpse of the years to follow. Accurate narration that is well presented. Basics for those with no knowledge of the conflict.

Good basic overview
This is a good introduction or review for a class on the Korean War. It worked well in my high school class with about 45 minutes to watch the video and discuss some questions or write a quick essay. Not a lot of content though, so this should not be used alone.
