Justice League: Season Two (DC Comics Classic Collection) [Blu-ray]

The gloves come off in season 2
Justice League season 1 was good, but flawed. Characters lacked depth, dialogue was occasionally cliche, plot holes were everywhere, stories felt padded to fill the running time. With season 2, the creative staff went back and did some major tweaking. The end result is not only a much better season all around, but one that almost feels like a brand new series.

Where to begin? Superman is finally back to his super-powered self, and the season opener pits him against his long-time nemesis Darkseid in an epic-yet-personal space opera. Green Lantern begins to get more imaginative with his energy ring, and Wonder Woman is less a powerhouse barbie and more a rounded character. Continuity has a heavy role this season, with plot threads from both season 1 and the prematurely cancelled Superman series finding continuation here.

The stories themselves are an interesting yet strong mix. You have your standard action stories, but also some downright creepy moments (Only a...

As good as season 1 was, season 2 is just extraordinary
Season 1 of Justice League helped kicked things off. However, it's the 2nd season where things really shine. Season 2 went on and improved the show's animation, added on excellent subplots that carry on such as a growing relationship between Green Lantern and Hawkgirl, and increased eye-candy such as numerous guest appearances from characters from both the Superman and Batman toons, from supporting characters like Lois Lane, Ma and Pa Kent, and Alfred Pennyworth to classic villains like Lex Luthor, Brainiac, The Parasite, The Joker, and Clayface. New villains arrive as well, such as Eclipso, Dr. Destiny, Desparo, and even Doomsday, the monster that became infamous for killing Superman in the comics.

The quality of the stories increased as well. It starts off with Twilight, as the Justice League faces Darkseid and Brainiac(Ron Perlman and Corey Burton reprising their roles from the Superman cartoon).

In the center we have highlights such as Hereafter, in which...

A 2nd Serving Of Justice June 20, 2006!
High above the Earth in the great Watchtower of the Justice League, there are assembled the world's seven greatest heroes created from the cosmic legends of the universe - Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern, the Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl. Their mission: To fight injustice, to right that which is wrong, and to serve all mankind.

Despite the colossal success of season one, the "Justice League" creators wisely went 'back to formula' on some elements from the show. Most notably, Superman's scaled back to his Superman: The Animated Series look, and the direction of George Newbern's vocal performances, both to much better results. The show's suspense and drama gets amped up several notches as the producers up the ante in terms of plot and character development, forcing the heroes to deal with issues of deep-rooted feelings of mistrust, insecurities, internal strife, affairs of the heart, and betrayal. These self-examinations of the heroes are just as...

Disk 2 of 2 -The Foam Roller, Workout & Massage - BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED Collection 2 DVDs

Less Cellulite plus a great deal more
Praises for all 3 of Michaela's Foam Roller DVDs! I am extremely pleased with these changes in my body since I've started playing with the foam roller: 1) I truly see less cellulite and have almost no pain left when I roll my outer thighs 2) my back and hamstrings feel looser than ever, and I sit taller 3) I have far more strength and muscle tone in my arms and shoulders 4) I've been paying more attention to core muscles as I do everyday activities after realizing that I've never used my core muscles enough before 5) even when I do weight training, walk or do housework, I remember the tips on shoulders and core that I learned from Michaela. Activities driven by core muscles rather then extremities feel a great deal different. Thanks ever so much for teaching me this!

Real gem
Both this instructor and her Foam Roller DVDs are great finds in the fitness video category. I've worked with literally hundreds of exercise DVDs, each with their pros and cons.I love this beginner workout, "The Foam Roller - Workout and Massage", because it's short enough (30 min), fun to do, the moves feel pretty natural and intuitive, the instructor explains positioning in detail and gives you reminders at every step. If you have a foam roller and you were wondering how to begin, this DVD is a great start. You do get strong fast in your abs, arms, shoulders, and definitely improve your back and leg flexibility. Once you feel you can do this easily, don't hesitate to invest in Michaela's Intermediate and Advanced Foam Roller Collection, also. They are offered at a very reasonable price for the quality of instruction and selection of moves. All three videos are worth adding to your library!

Excellent choice foam roller DVDs
A few months of playing with my foam roller guided by Michaela's "Foam Roller Workout & Massage" (the perfect, basic, "how to" DVD to start with), I've decided that I'm ready for more. The Foam Roller Intermediate & Advanced levels, 2 videos on Disc 2 of 2 - have proven to be more excellent choices. Michaela's thorough explanation of the various movements and her compassionate teaching style (in her lovely, soothing tone of voice), hold great appeal to me. I feel that although I'm working with a video I'm not going to hurt myself because she reminds me "do" and "don'ts". I also feel much progress in terms of ease of movement and greater strength. I'm glad to have bought both INT & ADV levels because I can vary my mat workouts more. There are actually some ADV moves I can and some INT moves that I can't do - yet! - though I'm confident that I will get there. Thank you, Michaela, for your great foam roller DVDs!

Sungkyunkwan Scandal

Five Stars, Absolutely!
Five stars and more---I love it. YA Entertainment english subs are the very best, they will not disolve into mandarin to english anywhere in this film. Type in YA Entertainment here on Amazon and see what Korean dramas they have to offer if you need good subs.
I loved all four main characters---this is another girl enters all boys college pretending to be a boy---main character falls in love with her and thinks he's gay theme. This is however, a cut above others I've seen, as the students and teacher readily admit the "he" is an unusually pretty, unusually 'girly' boy.
The story is wonderful and doesn't get boring, ever. It's also a period piece and takes place near the end of the 18th century.
I own a lot of Asian dramas, and this is one of the best. You will love this!

One of my favorite Kdramas of all time!
This drama is one of the best! The characters are awesome as well as the acting! I love the music so much too! If you are a Kpop fan the group JYJ does some of the songs for the ost. Also Micky Yoochun, a JYJ member is the male lead! I never found the story slow. I think even if you aren't a fan of historical dramas you are going to love this one! I couldn't even become loyal to one ship because I love the characters so much! Its a must see!

This drama is a great introduction to Korean dramas. It is also a good introduction to historical dramas.

I loved this drama!
Sungkyunkwan Scandal is a very entertaining Korean drama which is set in the latter part of the Joseon era, during the reign of King Jeongjo (approximately 1790). Sungkyunkwan is a university (which exists to this day, although in different form) where the rich sons of the noble class would train to be government officials. During that period, there was a rigid division of social classes and gender. Women had no value at all; they were not allowed to study (other than basic studies at home) and could only hope their parents would arrange a good marriage for them. Smack in the middle of this scenario, there is one young girl, Yoon-Hee, who had to pretend to be a boy so she could earn money for her sick brother's medicines, and for her widowed mother. Without going into details, she ended up as a student at Sungkyunkwan (through a series of convoluted events), and had to use all her wits to keep anyone from learning she is a girl, especially the two students (both male of course) with...
